VISIT US

Clarksdale is a rural community situated near the Mississippi River in the alluvial plain known as the Mississippi Delta — a strange, complicated, and often misunderstood part of the world. Someone recently described Clarksdale as “a little feral.” They weren’t wrong.

Widely recognized as the birthplace of America’s music — home of John Lee Hooker, Sam Cooke, Muddy Waters (and lots of other greats) — this small, gritty town is a year-round destination for music lovers from all over the world. It is a fact that Clarksdale has more than its fair share of challenges. With a history of inequality and racial and economic segregation and injustice, Clarksdale still suffers, in plain view, from the legacy of its past.

But there’s a lot of beauty here. Clarksdale — with its stark, flat landscapes and 365 nights of live music — vibrates at a level that resonates with folks who find themselves looking for something a little different. It is not uncommon to meet a local who was once just passing through for a night or two.

We hope you’ll come visit Clarksdale, and give our beer a try. But you might want to pack a big bag — chances are you’ll stay longer than you planned.
